GoodNotes vs Notability – which is better for university?
This post is a comparison of GoodNotes vs Notability, and which is the better note taking app for university students. There are lots of options out there for note taking apps for the iPad but GoodNotes and Notability are often considered the best. Both are great for handwriting notes, annotating documents, and more. However, each have their own pros and cons. This post contains links to products, as an Amazon Associate, I may earn from qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. I Finished My First Semester of Med School During a Pandemic
I have finally made it through my first semester of medical school! Starting medical school in the middle of a pandemic has definitely been an experience. Even though I spent most of the past four months in some form of lockdown a lot has happened. Anyways here’s a little bit about what it’s been like to start med school, in another country, during a global pandemic. In September I flew to England with my two suitcases and a backpack. I posted about that trip before, so if you want to read about it you can find it here. This has been my first experience living away from home and its…

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles … and COVID-19
So I am officially living in the UK! As of today I have been in the UK for over three weeks . It was quite the journey for me to get here, nearly 22 hours of traveling from the time I left my house to when I arrived in my dorm! I didn’t realize how completely exhausted I would actually be when I arrived. My travel started with a three hour car ride to the airport (there were no direct flights from home and I was definitely not adding a 10 hr layover to my trip). The car ride was pretty relaxed, both my parents drove me down, so it…

I’m Moving to ENGLAND!!
Ok so right now it is t minus 30 days until I move and I figured I should actually post an update on whats happening in my life. So I think in my last post I talked about getting invited to interviews so why don’t we pick up there. I ended up interviewing with three medical schools and let me tell you that was a process. The first school I interviewed with was Newcastle University. They were very accommadating with setting up a remote interview. Though I do admit at the time I was sceptical about doing my interview online and felt that I wouldn’t perform as well as I…

I Got an Interview!!
Alright so an update on my medical school journey …. like three months later. First off school was insanely busy the past two month so I didn’t get around to posting an update while this was actually happening but I thought I would post about it now that I’m almost done with midterms. So as the title says I got an invite to interview for medical school, actually as of now I have three interviews to some of the medical school I applied to in the UK! I am honestly amazed and so grateful, there was a point where I thought that I wasn’t going to get any invites and…

How to Start the New Term on the Right Foot
7 Tips for starting school with your best foot forward Today was my first day back after winter break, and the first day of my last semester of university. My first semester of university I was very organized putting everything into my calendar and setting reminders for my homework but as time went on I got a bit lazy. This always results in me being way more stressed than necessary and I end up cramming right before exams. I decided that this semester I needed to get my sh*t together and finish my degree off strong, and the only way to do that is to hit the ground running. So…
