Time blocking is the perfect scheduling method for students. It will help keep you organized and on top of everything you need to do. This post is all about how to start time blocking as a student. What is Time Blocking? Time blocking is a scheduling method where you set out specific blocks of time to get specific tasks done. I don’t actually do this, so this is an adapted method of time blocking that works for me and I think will work well for other students. My thoughts…

Best Time Management Apps For Students
If you are anything like me, time management as a student can be a real struggle. In order to stay on top of everything I rely on planners, calendars and different apps to keep myself organized. So I’ve put together my absolute favourite time management apps for students. 1. Notion Notion is an all in one app. I’ve started using Notion both for school and for organizing stuff for my blog. In Notion you have the ability to create calendars, to-do lists, tables and charts. I know lots of students also use it for taking their notes. I use it to organize the learning outcomes we get for our cases…

Everyone in my flat disagrees with this including my flatmate from France who says crepes and pancakes are two different things. Instead, we’ve come to the conclusion the English are weird. Anyways, how this came about was for pancake day we decided to make pancakes and crepes for dinner. We decided on savory crepes for dinner and pancakes for dessert. We didn’t have a recipe in mind so we just started throwing whatever we had in the fridge together. The crepes were so good that we ended up…

When I was leaving for university I knew that I was going to have a lot more expenses than what I was used to. Not only am I responsible for my own rent but for everything that goes along with it like groceries and other small things I don’t normally think about, like toothbrushes. My mom literally has a drawer full of new toothbrushes and toothpaste so when I need a new one I just go grab one from there. Now I have to buy that kind of stuff for myself. I am now always looking for different ways to save a bit of money and having reusable items that…

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles … and COVID-19
So I am officially living in the UK! As of today I have been in the UK for over three weeks . It was quite the journey for me to get here, nearly 22 hours of traveling from the time I left my house to when I arrived in my dorm! I didn’t realize how completely exhausted I would actually be when I arrived. My travel started with a three hour car ride to the airport (there were no direct flights from home and I was definitely not adding a 10 hr layover to my trip). The car ride was pretty relaxed, both my parents drove me down, so it…

How to Start the New Term on the Right Foot
7 Tips for starting school with your best foot forward Today was my first day back after winter break, and the first day of my last semester of university. My first semester of university I was very organized putting everything into my calendar and setting reminders for my homework but as time went on I got a bit lazy. This always results in me being way more stressed than necessary and I end up cramming right before exams. I decided that this semester I needed to get my sh*t together and finish my degree off strong, and the only way to do that is to hit the ground running. So…
